La Mono is a family owned business that specialises on their native Lebanese cuisines. It’s a relaxed and comfortable restaurant, which has an outdoor seating area and a small indoor area. They also have a take-away service.

They have two sections, the left side which serves their main dishes and the right side which is a cafe.

Their menu offers meals with fries which can been found similarly like other Lebanese restaurants, like pizzas and sides.  Their main dishes are about $20+ with sides costing under $10.

BBQ Kafta $23 – marinated lamb, hommus, tabouli, pickles, seasoned onions

Both our mains were served with Lebanese bread but we hardly touched it because our meals was already so filling!

Chips $7 – Simple and it wasn’t too thick

Various Lebanese desserts and cocktails were offered and we opt for choosing a cocktail…

Avocado Cocktail $8 – Me and my partner shared this and it was enough, I remember thinking how big their large size would have been! The nuts, honey and ashta with avocado was a fabulous blend, as it was smooth and it wasn’t too sweet. The cocktail slid quite easily through the straw.

What made this different from ordinary Lebanese restaurants was that it’s flavours not only exploded with colour but had the freshest taboulis I have eaten and that I remember it being really juicy! The portion they gave was filling and beautifully presented, I liked how they placed the meat inside this hard bread that’s shaped into an open box.
