Felix Bar and Bistro

A modern French influenced bistro and bar, is not only classy but also has that laid-back feel that a lot of Aussies love. Visited the place after a previous night out to the Ivy club just next door to the place, and this restaurant had been on my mind since! The service was wonderful, the whole ambience of the bistro was also lovely, dim lights, a great showcase of their alcohol range in their bar and the interior was very European. It was like bringing a piece of Europe to Sydney.

I think after a few drinks I was already getting tipsy haha.


Me and my partner sat on the bar side, which he had a martini and beer and I had a NV Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Reins $23


His: Beer Hers: NV Ruinart Rose Reins $26

Their wine and other beverages was really impressive, I wanted a glass of champagne but it obviously only comes in a bottle which I found too pricey 🙁


Entrée: Saute of herb gnocchi, grilled corn, smoked capscium, zucchini, tomato, pesto and goats curd $18


His: Rotisserie spatchcock, grilled baby cos, warm flagoelet bean and lemon vinaigrette $33


Hers: Confit duck leg, frisee, lentil and green bean salad, lyonnaise sauce $33


Dessert: Profitelroles with vanilla ice-cream, pistachio, salted caramel and hot chocolate sauce $16

The whole combination of what we ordered was wonderful, the mix of sweetness and the sauce in my dish was just so smooth and it just melted in my mouth. The duck was easily cut and the vegetables with the sauce did not overpower the meat. The dessert was also really good, it was like diving into soft, edible chocolate pillows haha!
