K206, Level 2 Central Kitchen
28 Broadway, Chippendale
If you want some quick-made taste of Malaysia, try Lala Malaysian found in the gorgeous Central Park Sydney. I’ve been walking past this place and never had a chance to try it out, until one gloomy morning which I needed something to warm me up.
The exterior is simple, with one counter lady (she was extremely nice) and the menu can be found up above.
The menu consists of traditional Malaysian foods you can typically see in any Malaysian restaurants, like noodles, laksa, congee, fried rice, nasi goreng, nasi lemak and so on. What I really loved about it, was the fact that they offered many vegetarian options!
Vegetarian Laksa $11 – Wasn’t too bad, but I did find it too bland. It’s probably because I asked for it not to be spicy. This bowl looks tiny, but I’m telling you that it was packed with many vegetables!
You get what you pay for, it’s not expensive so it’s great for a decent fix. But I’m not too sure if I’d get the same bowl again.
