“I like beautiful melodies telling me terrible things.”

– Tom Waits

6/9 : Currently watching reaction videos of Asia’s Song Bird, Regine Velasquez. I completely forgot how amazing and rich her voice is, it is super amazing! There’s a link below to Katrina, another Filipino singer who also sounds beautiful. It’s amazing that Regine has been singing to decades and her voice doesn’t sound strained and still has the vocal richness. Maybe when I hit Makati, I’d be able to book tickets to see a Filipino singer. So going to hit the books again, hit the gym later and get an early night for an early meditation class tomorrow!

7/9 : I ditched meditation today, just cause I had a late night and my plan to be in bed by 8pm was a no no. At least I got my run in today and will no try to hustle through my to-do list for this week… and maybe start my assignments and study for the upcoming exam? I have been watching non-stop Will Dasovich‘s vlogs, his travels are so inspiring especially his Philippine blogs makes me super excited to visit the country again! This time at a legal age to party and visit places without my parents taking care of us.

8/9 : Another successful placement, and I could honestly see myself doing these types of projects. It is a tad intimidating though being around the professionals in the field and its taking me forever to introduce myself. I’ll get there, hopefully not till the end 🙁 Anyways, been procrastinating again, though I did read through and started breaking down the task. Oh in a random note, did you see the Fenty Beauty line? The yellow swatches look so amazing. Can’t imagine how much these beauty items will be. I just noticed now 3 famous people I know had dropped their beauty lines this year. I am super stoked however with Fenty Beauty.

10/9 : Yesterday was such a jam-packed, long day. Had an early rise to do an 8:30am meditation class. It was great but I really have to work on focusing on my breathing and stop being so self-conscious. The studio is beautifully, open with light timber floorings, wide thin-framed windows against the backdrop of the city. I recommend taking public transport, but there is actually plenty of street parking. If you’re interested in taking up meditation, pilates or yoga, it’s called Body Mind Life.  Headed home after getting amazing almond latte from Three Williams.

12/9 : Remembering 9/11. “If you owe someone an apology, tell them you are sorry today. If someone asks for your forgiveness, forgive them. Start being the person you always wanted to be today and don’t waste your time worrying about tomorrow.
– Mary Kate McErlean, whose father was killed on 9/11 when she was 8 years old.”
